History of Datong High School

Datong High School, founded in 1912, is a public key high school in Shanghai with more than a century of educational heritage. Upholding the school motto "Duxue Dunxing, Liji Daren"---pursuing academic rigor, practicing integrity, fostering self-discipline, and helping others---the school is committed to cultivating students who are well-prepared for the needs of a rapidly changing era.

History and Development of the Datong-VIA International Division

Datong-VIA Partnership Signing Ceremony

In 2012, Datong High School partnered with the Vermont International Academy (VIA) in the United States to introduce an American high school curriculum and establish the Datong-VIA International Program on campus.

The VIA program is jointly administered by an American academic team and implemented within Datong High School, featuring a truly integrated Sino-US curriculum model. Over the course of its development, the program has earned multiple international education accreditations, including approval from AdvancED (now Cognia), a leading U.S. accreditation agency.

Vermont International School, USA was selected as a "Base School for the Top 100,000 Program" and officially inaugurated.
